Freedom Of speech... With a question mark~
My country is pretty disfunctional... Pretty because it is a multiracial country with various religion, ethnicity and culture, blended together to create the so-called 1M thingy... I'm proud to live in this country 'cause there is no war; and everything is settled peacefully at the meeting table.
But... Disfunctional?? YA, because me and several other members consider it...somehow unrealistic. I just wish I can change my straightforward attitude but seriously people, it is unrealistic. Rakyat didahulukan? Why is that... that... some of our people doesn't feel the same way like most of those privilege urban society do? Tell me, WHY?
Why take their lands, as far as i know, it belongs to 'them' long before Independence day, and why poverty still rules most of the sub-urban and rural areas... Are all of us were blindfolded since birth? NGOs are not billionaires, yet they help oppressed people using every single cent they have inside their pockets. What the society need is HELP from the government. Please, we need you, yes! YOU, those with higher authorities to help the people... After all, these people are the ones who will vote you during elections. Don't just give lame promises to the villagers or those in desperate need of aid, instead, HELP them through actions and charities... I'm not asking these authorities to be saints or impersonate Mr. Robin-hood, but I'm begging them all to make a change for our country by first, changing how they act towards sad situation that is uprising in our country nowadays. Need not to elaborate more. Pembalakan haram, isu tanah Orang asli vs. Tanah Kerajaan, Human Trafficking (the number of cases were quite alarming), unemployments among youths, poverty in rural areas, corruptions and bribery among politicians, native customary rights, education andd basic needs for indigenous people...etc etc... Too much nak dibilang dong~ Speechless. Do something, or at least say the right thing for the right reason, after all, my country says that we all can practise freedom of speech. And i'm practising mine.
